Beginner Dance:
Our beginning dance program starts with students 2 ½ years of age. It is a full hour of dance class in which the children learn ballet, tap and creative movement. These beginning classes are taught by Ms. Mende Taylor on Wednesday mornings. Our youngest class from 9:30 – 10:30 with the slightly older beginners class is from 10:30 – 11:30. The children will learn the fundamentals of dance while having fun to kid friendly music.
Combo Dance:
These combo classes are designed for ages 4 to 6 years of age. Children in these classes may be beginners, but there are also students with experience in these classes. These combo classes prepare our students to enter into the primary, intermediate and advanced levels. Combo classes are one hour in which the children learn ballet and tap.
Primary/Intermediate/Advanced Dance:
These classes are curriculum based and as students master certain dance technique, they will be promoted to the next level based on instructor recommendation. Within these levels we offer hip hop, lyrical, jazz, pre-pointe and competitive dance opportunities in addition to the ballet and tap that we recommend for each student.
About Staff:
Ms. Joyce Kacar – Ms. Joyce will teach our Primary II level classes which includes ballet and tap. Ms. Joyce will also teach our Worship class.
Ms. Mende Taylor – Ms. Mende always teaches our beginning classes on Wednesday mornings. Additionally, she will teach our Intermediate I, ballet and tap, Primary I, ballet and tap and the lyrical/jazz classes.
Ms. Millie Hines - Ms. Millie will teach our combo classes, including ballet,
tap and hip hop.
Ms. Andrea Hixon – Ms. Andrea will teach our Intermediate II classes which includes ballet and tap.
Ms. Katrina Bowling – Ms. Katrina will teach our pre-Pointe and Hip Hop classes. Ms. Katrina will be taking some of her interested Hip Hop students to competitions this year in Nashville.
